EconiClay eSolar Panels

EconiClay eSolar panels leverage advanced building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) technology to embed solar energy generation directly into architectural surfaces.  Unlike traditional solar panels, these systems are integrated during construction, allowing for seamless alignment with architectural elements while delivering long-term sustainability benefits.

Each eSolar composite panel is engineered by bonding EconiClay material with substrates such as aluminum honeycomb, metal-folded veneers, or metal-faced rockwool sandwich panels—enabling solar power generation within the building envelope itself. This fusion of renewable energy and architectural design supports modern construction goals by reducing carbon footprint, improving aesthetics, and contributing to green certifications like LEED and BREEAM.

Learn about the science behind econiclay

For a 100,000 m2 public building, achieve a net carbon reduction of 8,452 tons annually(equivalent to planting 470,000 fir trees over 30 years).

Double Carbon Reduction vs. Glass BIPV

    ✓ Improved Power Generation: 67% efficiency increase➔ 3.4 million kWh of clean energy➔ 2,132 tons CO2 saved

✓ Lower Production Emissions: 50% reduction in carbon intensity per watt➔ 1,120 tons CO2 saved

Revolutionizing Building Materials vs. Natural Stone

✓ Material Innovation: 66. 7% lower carbon footprint per unit area➔ 5,200 tons CO2 saved across the building

Benefits

  • Higher Efficiency, Lower Carbon Emission:  eSolar panels offer over 60% HIGHER power  conversion efficiency than traditional glass BIPV panels with 60^ transmittance (CQC and TUV  certifications) and 54.6% lower carbon emission (BV certification).

  • Energy Efficiency: eSolar systems generate renewable energy on-site, reducing dependency on conventional power sources and lowering electricity bills.

  • Aesthetic Appeal:  Unlike conventional BIPV, which is typically confined to the appearance of glass and windows, eSolar panels mimic the look and texture of stone, wood, or brick—dramatically expanding solar coverage to non-glass curtain walls and architectural surfaces.

  • Environmental Impact: Integrating eSolar systems contributes to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy practices.

  • Cost Savings: Over time, eSolar systems can significantly reduce operational costs by lowering energy consumption.Energy Generation: 1.8 million kWh annually (based on 1200 hours of equivalent generation)~ Electricity cost savings of 144,000 USD (0.08 USD/kWh). Carbon Assets: Annual CO,e reduction of 1,440 tons (coal replacement)~ Carbon revenue of 11,520 USD (2025 carbon price: 8 USD/ton)

Applications

  • Facades: eSolar facades serve a dual purpose by generating energy and providing building protection, all while offering a modern aesthetic.

  • Roofs: Incorporating photovoltaic materials into roofing solutions allows for optimal solar energy capture without compromising the roof’s integrity and design.

  • Windows and Skylights: Transparent or semi-transparent photovoltaic materials can be integrated into windows and skylights, allowing natural light to enter the building while generating energy.
